What is Nourishing Rest? Nourishing Rest... rather than being overloaded and just tuning out with distractions (yes, let's admit to the mindless scroll!), nourishing rest are activities that help us to actually feel good. Activities that calm us down, or energise us. Acitvities which deeply fill us up so we have energy and enthusiasm to keep on keeping on.
This will cover a variety of strategies, and it will be individual to each person.
Why is At Nourishing Rest an Everyday Skill? We all breathe every minute of everyday. It is directly linked to our emotional state. We've all had the experience of (probably not even noticing) that we breath quicker and more shallowly when we're stressed or anxious.
By consciously directing the breath, we can promote certain feelings within our body, whether to energise, balance and refresh.
